Important Information for Cruise Passengers

  1. Cruise check-in generally begins at approximately 12 noon. All passengers must board before the ship departs. Please arrive on time; the ship will not wait for late passengers, and no refunds will be issued.
  2. All passengers must have a passport valid for more than six months. If you hold a non-U.S. passport, you must also have a valid visa or Green Card. Passengers who do not present the required passport and visa documents will be denied boarding by check-in staff, and all fees are nonrefundable.
  3. Children over six months of age are charged the same fare as adults. However, a child sharing a cabin with two adults is charged the third- or fourth-passenger rate. Not all cabin categories accommodate three passengers, so availability must be confirmed at the time of booking.
  4. Upon arrival at the terminal, attach luggage tags to the large bags you wish to check aboard. Write your cabin number and your name in English on each tag, exactly as it appears on your passport. Your checked luggage will be delivered to your cabin approximately one hour after you board. Do not pack any documents needed for check-in, such as your passport, boarding documents, or passenger information, in your checked luggage; without them, you will not be able to complete check-in and board.
  5. After checking your luggage, proceed to the cruise terminal service counter to check in. Have your passport, completed boarding documents, and passenger information ready while waiting in line. The cruise line may retain your passport for safekeeping during check-in. Be sure to request a receipt so that you can retrieve your passport at the end of the cruise for immigration procedures.
  6. After check-in, each passenger will receive a cruise card. It generally shows the ship name, departure date, passenger name in English, dining room, dining seating, table number, cabin number, and onboard account number. This card identifies you as a passenger and is required when boarding and disembarking. It also serves as your cabin key and onboard charge card. Keep it with you throughout the cruise. If it is lost, report it immediately to the onboard guest services desk and request a replacement.
  7. Once aboard, a crew member will direct you to your cabin. Do not switch cabins without authorization, as this may interfere with luggage delivery and computerized billing. If a higher-priced cabin is available, you may request an upgrade after departure, but the full difference in published fares must be paid in cash or traveler’s checks. Each passenger has a cruise card; remember to take it whenever you leave your cabin to avoid being locked out.
  8. A safety drill will be held on embarkation day. When the alarm sounds, put on your life jacket, located on the upper shelf of the wardrobe or under the bed, and proceed to your assigned muster station. The muster station and lifeboat number are marked on the life jacket. Follow the safety staff’s demonstration or the illustrated instructions on the bathroom wall to put on the life jacket correctly.
  9. Onboard purchases and other charges are cashless, except for gratuities and gambling. You must therefore set up an onboard account using a credit card at check-in. If you do not have a credit card, you must still establish an onboard account and settle the entire balance in cash at the guest services desk on the morning the cruise ends. Credit card payments are automatically processed through the major card networks: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. If you register a credit card, you will receive a statement of your total charges early on the final morning. If there are any errors, ask the guest services desk to verify them. If the statement is correct, your onboard charges will appear on your credit card statement the following month. Visa, Mastercard, and American Express may also be used directly at the onboard photo shop and duty-free boutique. Traveler’s checks can be cashed at the guest services desk.
  10. Pack three types of clothing for your cruise: casual daytime clothing, formal evening attire, and casual clothing for sightseeing and shopping ashore. The ship offers a variety of entertainment and elegant social events, with dress codes appropriate to each occasion. Please follow these requirements. For example, formal attire is required for the captain’s welcome reception and designated formal dinners: dresses for women, and dark suits with ties and dark socks for men. We recommend bringing at least one formal outfit. Dining aboard this luxury cruise also has a dress code. Casual clothing, including shorts and T-shirts, is acceptable for breakfast and lunch, but do not enter the dining room in swimwear, barefoot, or shirtless. Apart from designated formal dinners, wear casual attire for dinner; shorts, slippers, and T-shirts are not permitted.
  11. A daily activity schedule and news bulletin will be delivered to each cabin. For optional shore excursions at an additional cost, consult the relevant information or contact the shore excursion desk.
  12. You are welcome to enjoy the ship’s entertainment and sports facilities. Variety shows, movies, dancing, music, swimming, saunas, ball games, karaoke, the gym, and the library are free of charge. Personal purchases and services, such as beverages, alcohol, skin care, massages, hair washing, medical care, and laundry, incur additional charges; please refer to the list of complimentary and paid onboard services. The medical center also accepts cash and traveler’s checks. Bottled water and cola provided in each cabin also incur an additional charge. Alcohol will not be sold to passengers under 21 during the cruise, and the cruise line reserves the right to restrict or prohibit passengers from bringing alcohol purchased elsewhere aboard for consumption.
  13. Onboard electrical outlets supply 110V / 220V power.
  14. Safes are available aboard. To prevent loss, store your valuables and money in a safe. Our company accepts no responsibility for any loss.
  15. If you leave the ship or group before the end of the cruise because of a personal itinerary change, personal reasons, or other circumstances beyond anyone’s control, all fees remain payable in full and no refunds will be issued. No refund may be requested for any unused breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
  16. To protect passengers’ interests, our company reserves the right to change the itinerary due to weather, local political or economic conditions, suspended sailings, or other circumstances beyond its control. Passengers may not object to such changes.
  17. The ship has a medical facility and medical personnel.
  18. If a passenger has an accident or dies due to illness or a traffic accident during the cruise, the matter will be handled according to the passenger’s insurance coverage. Please review whether your own travel accident insurance provides sufficient coverage, or consult the travel insurance information.
  19. If your luggage is damaged or lost during the cruise, report it immediately to the ship’s guest services desk and obtain copies of the relevant documentation. All legal liability will be handled according to the applicable insurance provisions.
  20. The ship’s guest services desk provides safe storage for passengers’ valuables and money during the cruise. However, the cruise line may refuse to accept valuables or money worth more than US$5,000. Our company accepts no responsibility for the loss of valuables or money that have not been deposited in a safe.
  21. Passengers who damage public property must pay reasonable compensation in accordance with the law.
  22. The cruise fare does not include shore excursions, which passengers must purchase separately. Shore excursions are operated by independent tour contractors. The cruise line accepts no responsibility for any resulting damage, injury, or death. Passengers undertake all travel and transportation activities after disembarking at their own risk.
  23. For any matters not covered by the above terms and information, the cruise line’s English-language cruise brochure shall prevail. For more details, please visit the cruise line’s website. AA Plus Vacation reserves the right of final interpretation. Thank you!
