In September 2022, the Chairman of AA Plus Vacation led the tour personally, taking everyone on a fourteen-day journey to experience the two Iberian nations: Portugal and Spain, experiencing enchanting Latin charm and beholding the beauty of Southern Europe. Thanks to the support of all our guests, this journey was completed smoothly.
The first stop of our journey was to visit Segovia's royal castle Alcazar, along with a special roasted suckling pig dinner. We subsequently visited the university town of Salamanca, Our Lady of Fatima Sanctuary in Covilhã, the Maritime Monument in Lisbon, Jerónimos Monastery, and the charming seaside city—Cascais. Along the way, we made a brief stop at Cape Roca, at the westernmost point of the entire European continent, overlooking the vast Atlantic Ocean, exploring the westernmost point of the European continent where "the land ends and the sea begins".
We also passed through Seville, the capital of the Andalusia region, situated on the Guadalquivir River, blessed with year-round sunshine, with fountains and parks everywhere. There is the world's largest Gothic cathedral, Maria Luisa Park, Spanish Plaza and more. We also enjoyed the graceful Flamenco dancers of Seville, dressed in layers of wave-patterned flower skirts, holding castanets, performing rhythmic Flamenco dancing. The impression was very deep.
We then traveled south to the British Territory of Gibraltar, seeing magnificent sea views and visiting the St. Michael's Stalactite Cave. There is also Picasso Museum in Málaga and Gibralfaro Castle. The mountains surrounding the castle are filled with large and small limestone caves of various shapes, and it is also the birthplace of Flamenco art. We also visited the Alhambra Palace in Granada, which is the crystallization of Arab imagination and art, situated on lush green hills, containing fortresses, palaces, gardens, corridors and more. There is also the Arab Sultan's summer palace, called the Red Palace because it was built entirely with red stone. The gardens are shaded with trees, flowing springs everywhere, evoking the romance and glory of the Islamic Kingdom of yesteryear.
We also visited the famous Córdoba Cathedral Mosque and the white windmill village Consuegra. Local people have painted these windmills with fresh white outfits and given each windmill a name. We also visited what is only the third largest palace in Europe after Paris's Palace of Versailles and Vienna's Schönbrunn Palace. The palace's decorations and furnishings are extremely luxurious in every detail. The Bourbon royal family's cultural relics and exotic medicine collections are abundant, making it a representative cultural heritage of the Bourbon Dynasty. There is also the Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona, Park Güell, Picasso Museum and more. These places all left our footprints, and through photographs left beautiful memories.
