2024 May 2 - May 10 AA Plus Vacation Wonderland: Switzerland In-Depth Tour 10-Day 8-Night

Letter of Gratitude

In May 2024, AA Plus Vacation personally led a group, and our wonderland Switzerland in-depth tour of 10 days and 8 nights has successfully concluded. We sincerely thank all our honored guests for their support.

We first visited downtown Zurich, bustling yet serene, and strolling along the Limmat River deeply calmed our spirits. Lake Lucerne attracted endless visitors. Crossing the Chapel Bridge, we saw the old city's unique architecture. Along the way, souvenir shop owners greeted every visitor warmly. Arriving at the stone monument of the Dying Lion, lifelike and vivid, we were reminded of the soldiers who sacrificed themselves in 1792 defending their homeland. They will forever be remembered.

On our way to Jungfrau, we explored Weggis, a famous Swiss resort destination. This town is built along the Reuss River with beautiful scenery. Sitting in a lakeside café enjoying coffee while facing the great river was truly one of life's greatest pleasures. We began our unforgettable Jungfrau journey, taking the famous cogwheel train to the highest railway station in Europe at an altitude of 3,450 meters, then ascending by elevator to Europe's highest viewpoint where the Jungfrau's glaciers spread before us. Originally shrouded in heavy snow, Jungfrau Peak, also called the Top of Europe, revealed itself completely as we prepared to depart when a strong wind cleared the clouds, thrilling us greatly. Another famous scenic route, the Golden Pass, carried us through views of lakes, mountains, vineyards, and the picturesque landscapes of Montreux, poetry in motion, attracting numerous artists, writers, and travelers seeking peace.

Château de Chillon, one of Switzerland's oldest structures, stands on a massive rock on Lake Geneva's shore, appearing to float upon the water from afar, and attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually. Vevey, a small town where Charlie Chaplin spent his final years, features a famous landmark—a giant fork thrust into the lake—with distinctive style. We naturally couldn't miss the Olympic Museum, and fortunately, with the 2024 Olympic Games approaching, we were able to purchase the mascots in advance. Everyone returned with full bags. When we arrived in Zermatt, Switzerland's first car-free town, nestled at the foot of the Matterhorn, ascending to the 3,089-meter observation platform was hindered by wind and snow, preventing us from enjoying the full view. However, the thick snow brought out our childlike spirit, and after a snowball fight, we returned to the base satisfied. After dinner, as we prepared to leave Zermatt, we turned back to find the weather suddenly clear—the entire Matterhorn revealed itself before us, another delightful surprise.

Few cities have preserved their original historical character as successfully as Bern, Switzerland's capital. The Old City of Bern is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its 6-kilometer-long arcaded street serving as Europe's longest covered shopping and strolling promenade. We visited Bern's Rose Garden, which, beyond displaying beautiful roses, offers the best vantage point to overlook the old city. We took the train to Schaffhausen to admire the Rhine Falls, formed over 14,000 years ago, Europe's largest waterfall by volume, spectacular yet gentle. We took the train to Uetliberg Mountain to overlook Zurich's cityscape, with particularly good weather that day—we could even see the entire Alps. Finally, we visited the city's most famous restaurant with over a hundred years of history to host a farewell dinner, cheerfully concluding our journey amid applause and songs.

During this trip, we left Switzerland with reluctant hearts, deeply moved by the experience. AA Plus Vacation is profoundly grateful for your support and affection. Every time we receive your support, it's like receiving a shot in the arm, encouraging us to prepare even better for the next journey. Thank you so much.
