Departing Los Angeles in the morning, journey through the fertile Central California Plains, home to over half of the nation's fruits, vegetables, and nuts. In the afternoon, arrive at Monterey Peninsula. Travel along world-renowned California Highway 1, enjoying breathtaking views of 17-Mile Drive. The west and south sides border the Pacific Ocean while the east side winds through Del Monte fir forest. View spectacular luxury villas and golf courses including Pebble Beach Golf Links, Cypress Point Club, and Monterey Peninsula Country Club. Arrive in San Francisco in the evening.

San Francisco - Napa Valley - Drive-Thru Tree Park - Humboldt Redwoods - Eureka

Depart San Francisco Bay Area for Napa Valley wine country. Eureka - Redwood National and State Parks - Crater Lake National Park - Eugene

Drive through Redwood National and State Parks along US-101, viewing the undeveloped 37-mile coastline with surging waves, bizarre rocks, and Giant Redwoods. Visit Crescent Beach. Arrive at Crater Lake National Park in the afternoon, America's deepest lake. The crater was formed by a volcanic eruption 7,000 years ago and filled with melting snow and rainwater. The sapphire blue lake is 600 meters deep, the deepest in the United States. Annual snowfall exceeds 10 meters. Medford - Shasta Dam - Sundial Bridge - San Francisco

Drive to Shasta Dam in the morning, one of California's most famous dams and called one of the greatest engineering feats of all time. Completed in 1945 on the Sacramento River, the 602-foot-high concrete curved gravity dam is dwarfed only by Hoover and Grand Coulee dams. Holds back immense blue Lake Shasta reservoir with 365-mile shoreline nestled amid evergreen hills and snow-covered volcanic peak of Mount Shasta. Visit Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay, world-famous pedestrian bridge and public art installation crossing the Sacramento River in Redding. The bridge is a working sundial, one of the world's largest, with shadow tracing a large arc recording only 4 hours daily (11am-3pm). Steel, glass, and granite span evokes weightlessness; translucent non-skid decking provides spectacular night viewing. Bridge is environmentally sensitive to river setting. Yosemite National Park - Los Angeles

Breakfast included. Travel to Yosemite National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. Located in Sierra Nevada Mountains of eastern California, it is one of the most beautiful and visited national parks in western United States. Majestic granite, magnificent waterfalls, and tranquil valleys create a fairyland landscape. Towering trees, flowing mountain water, huge glacier-carved cliffs, and sparkling lakes create a paradise setting. View world's largest granite column El Capitan, Yosemite Falls with highest drop in North America, Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, and Bridal Veil Falls. Walk in primeval forest and experience sweet, fresh air. Return to Los Angeles. Special note: In winter, if severe weather (snow, ice, road icing, or closures) occurs, itinerary may change for safety; instead of Yosemite, visit Solvang (Denmark City) and return via Santa Barbara to Los Angeles.
