Home - Airplane - Yellowknife
Welcome to Yellowknife, the capital of Canada's Northwest Territories. Complimentary 24-hour airport pick-up service from Yellowknife Airport (YZF). Tour guide wearing red Canada Goose jacket will hold a pick-up sign with your name. After hotel check-in, we will drive to Indian Hunting Tent Valley Camp away from city light pollution to avoid aurora viewing obstruction. The special camp provides hot drinks and snacks. Guests have the opportunity to meet native Indian hunters who will demonstrate their hunting methods and wildlife. After aurora appears, capture memorable photos which will be uploaded to cloud for free downloads. In case of heavy wind or snow, experienced driver will take you to lake or forest areas where aurora is also visible.
Free time in Yellowknife - Vehicle - Aurora Viewing or Aurora Hunting
Morning: Free time to participate in various activities at own expense. Recommended: Century Square Mall. Optional activities available (Dog Sledding, Snowmobile, Self-driving ATV, Boating, Boat Fishing, Walking Tour to Cameron Falls) depending on season. Afternoon: 1-2 hour city tour visiting Big Slave Lake, old city, Indian reservation, Pilot Monument, and other attractions. Opportunity to pick up yellow knife and polar certificate at visitor center. Evening: Aurora tour continues to capture memorable moments. Note: From 08/14 to 10/15, snow season activities unavailable. Winter season usually 11/28-04/11, participation in self-funded activities depends on snow amount. Full refund provided if unable to participate due to weather.
Free time in Yellowknife - Vehicle - Aurora Viewing or Aurora Hunting
Daytime: Free time to explore Yellowknife or participate in local activities at own expense. Great places for free activities: tribal flag corridor next to museum, Frame Lake trail, Diamond Center to watch polished diamonds. Evening: Depart from hotel at approximately 22:00 to Tipi tent camp to capture aurora. Two experiences available each night: camp experience and aurora chasing through forests by lakes. Guests may choose to stay in camp or chase aurora. Optional morning activities available (Boat Fishing, Walking Tour to Cameron Falls, Self-driving ATV, Polar dog sledding, Snowmobile) depending on season. Note: Seasonal activity restrictions same as Day 2.

Perfect finale to magical aurora journey in Yellowknife. If flight departs between 11:01 AM and 2:59 AM the following day, guide will confirm exact pick-up time (typically 2-3 hours before departure). No airport drop-off service provided for flights departing between 3:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Recommend arranging taxi ahead of time for this period.
