Guests must arrange independent transportation to Lhasa based on flight schedules. Our staff will greet you at Lhasa Gonggar International Airport (LXA) upon arrival and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Free airport pick-up times: 2:00 PM or 8:00 PM (departure time from airport after guide meets guests).

Lhasa, situated in southwestern China, serves as the political, economic, cultural, scientific, and educational center of Tibet. At 3,650 meters elevation, Lhasa enjoys over 3,000 hours of annual sunshine, earning its reputation as the "City of Sunshine." Visit Potala Palace atop Mapori Hill, comprising the White Palace (administrative and residential) and Red Palace (religious halls and stupa tombs). Explore Jokhang Temple, a 1,300-year-old monastery of supreme significance in Tibetan Buddhism and Tibet's most splendid Tubo-period architecture. Stroll through Barkhor Street, originally a pilgrim path encircling Jokhang Temple, now an expansive traditional quarter. Itinerary: Potala Palace (2 hours) → Jokhang Temple (1.5 hours) → Barkhor Street (1 hour) Potala Palace: Built in the 7th century AD over 1,300 years ago by King Songtsen Gampo to marry Princess Wencheng of Tang Dynasty. Nine-story original palace with 1,000 rooms, main building 117 meters high with 13 floors total, including palaces, pagoda halls, Buddhist halls, sutra halls, monks' residences, courtyards. Winter palace residence of Dalai Lamas and political/religious ruling center of Tibet. Jokhang Temple: Combines Tibetan, Tang, Nepalese and Indian architectural styles, eternal model of Tibetan religious architecture. Incense lingers all day with thousands of butter lamps always bright. Barkhor Street: Ancient street representing Tibet's culture and folk customs. Experience past life, local food and culture, traditional dress, dances, and well-preserved architecture.
Lhasa - Vehicle - Yamdrok Yumtso - Vehicle - Lhasa
Visit Norbulingka—the "Jewel Park"—renowned as Tibet's largest, most scenic man-made garden with the richest historical relics. Its architectural philosophy embraces natural topography: elevating terraces on heights, excavating ponds in depressions, prioritizing vistas. Over 300 rooms with beautiful scenery surrounded by various types and numbers of plants and flowers. Journey to Yamdrok Lake (110km, 2 hours 15 minutes by car), one of Tibet's three sacred lakes. Yamdrok means "Swan Pond" in Tibetan, also called "Yam Lake." Geographically belongs to Langkazi County in Shannan. Lake surface at 4,441 meters elevation, total lakeshore length 250 kilometers, total area 638 square kilometers, water depth 20-40 meters. Largest inland lake in the northern foothills of the Himalayas with many forks like coral branches, called "the upper coral lake" in Tibetan. Water volume approximately 16 billion cubic meters flows into Yarlung Tsangpo River. Return to Lhasa (120km, 2 hours 20 minutes by car). Itinerary: Lhasa → Norbulingka (1.5 hrs) → Yamdrok Yumtso (1.5 hrs) → Lhasa

- Tibet Plateau Travel Notice: Travelers with severe hypertension, heart disease, respiratory conditions, or elderly guests must consult physicians and cautiously decide on participation.
- Prepare altitude sickness medication (e.g., Gao Yuan An, Rhodiola). Carry emergency drugs: cold relief, gastrointestinal pills, Aspirin, Diazepam, headache powder.
- Due to extreme dryness, intense sunlight, and UV radiation, bring UV400 sunglasses, wide-brim hats, SPF50+ sunscreen, lip balm. Significant day-night temperature drops require long sleeves, thermal layers (down jacket/windbreaker).
- Avoid strenuous exercise; strictly prohibit alcohol/smoking; refrain from bathing on arrival day.
