United States PassportHolders do not need a visa for short-term stays of less than 90 days for tourism and business purposes.
Chinese passport + US green cardA visa is required. Generally speaking, this visa is only applicable to one entry, and each entry can stay for a maximum of 15 days.
The visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, so applying for a Japan visa should be done within this time frame.
1. Supporting documents required for application for authentication
A. Visa application form: Requires personal signature
B. A recent photo:2 x 2 inches
C. Valid passport: (original + copy)
D. Access destination files：
* If you are visiting relatives or friends, please provide an invitation letter from the relative/friend
* If you are on a business trip, please provide a letter from the Japanese inviting company and a letter from your company
* If you are attending a conference, please provide printed materials about the conference
* If you are traveling, please provide proof of your itinerary: travel itinerary, round-trip air tickets, hotel reservation confirmation and other information
E. Proof of Admission to Re-Enter the United States:
Such as a green card or I-94 and a valid U.S. visa.
(Students holding F-1 visas must present a signed I-20 form, and J-1 visa applicants must present a DS-2019 form with proof of endorsement.)
If not returning directly to the United States, please provide a visa for your next destination, which must be affixed to your passport before applying for a Japan visa.

* Bank account statement (account balance above $5,000) - 3 months
*A combination of bank account statement and sponsorship letter
G. Proof of work: Company letterhead, boss’s signature + two months’ pay stubs (PAY CLIP) or I-20.
H. Visa fees: Starting from $27/person
2. Fees and payment methods:
A. Tourist visa fee: Starting from $22.00/person, starting from $44.00/person for multiple times within five years (the consulate only accepts cash)
