Take in sweeping views from the top of the modern, 364-foot (111-meter) dam that controls the Nile River’s yearly floods and sends water and power to every corner of Egypt. Gaze into the excavations around an obelisk that would have towered above any known ancient obelisk, then learn how it was carved from solid — but fatally flawed — bedrock.
Afternoon: We will return to the ship for lunch and continue to our next stop - Kom Ombo. Ombos was a garrison town under every dynasty of Egypt as well as the Ptolemaic Kingdom and Roman Egypt, The
Temple of Kom Ombo located on the banks of the Nile in a village of the same name, Kom Ombo is unique in Egypt as a double temple - dedicated to two deities, Sobek and Horus. The temple is unique for its dedication to two different deities: the local crocodile-headed god Sobek, and the first "god of the Kingdom", the falcon-headed god Horus the Elder (also called Haroeris). This double dedication was deliberate. Not only is it architecturally duplicated, with two sets of courts, hypostyle halls and sanctuaries, the twin temple is symbolic of the local and Universalist themes that the two different deities represented. We return to the ship for dinner and enjoy the night activity on board.

2/8 D10 Edfu –Esna– Luxor (B, L, D)
Morning: Edfu is the main sugar and pottery center in Egypt. At that time, it was not the Pharaoh who ruled Egypt, but the Greeks. In order to please the local aristocracy, the Greeks did not suppress the Egyptians, but assimilated with them. In terms of conception and concept, they followed the Pharaoh's architecture strictly, with the same series of designs, proportional systems and decorative details. Along the way, you can see the neatly arranged small houses on both sides of the river, which seem to have not changed at all for thousands of years. The Edfu Temple (also known as the Horus Temple), which took more than 300 years to build and dedicated to the embodiment of justice - the eagle god Horus. It is one of the best-preserved shrines in Egypt. The temple was built in the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 237 and 57 BC. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information about the battle between the eagle god Horus and the evil hippopotamus god on language, myth and religion during the Hellenistic period.
Afternoon: You enjoy your lunch and dinner on board while enjoying the scenic sailing along the Nile River. The ship will pass through the *Esna Lock*, heading toward Luxor in central Egypt - the ancient capital known as Thebes during both the Old and New Kingdom periods. Esna is a small town located 120 kilometers south of Luxor on the west bank of the Nile, famous for its lock system. Evening: Dock in Luxor and enjoy a night tour to Luxor Temple. The temple is one of the best preserved of all of the ancient monuments with large amounts of structure, statuary and relief carvings still intact, making it one of the most impressive visits in the Luxor area and all of Egypt, adding significantly to its allure is the juxtaposition that its setting provides. The beautifully illuminated temple offers fantastic photo opportunities of its spectacular nighttime scenery.

2/9 D11 Luxor(B, L, D) (Flight information TBA) Luxor is the home of ancient Thebes, one of the oldest and most inhabited cities on earth, the capital of the pharaohs in Ancient Egypt, during the height of their power from the 16th to 11th centuries B.C which explains why it became known as the city of immortal royalty.
After Breakfast, we will disembark from the ship and head to the Valley of the Kings. The Valley of the Kings is an ancient Egyptian site located on the west bank of the Nile River, across from Luxor, where pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom (1539-1075 BC) were buried. It's known for its rock-cut tombs, many of which are richly decorated with scenes from Egyptian mythology and daily life. Then we continue our journey to Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. A magnificent temple at Deir al-Bahari, on the west back of Luxor. Why is the Temple of Hatshepsut important? In addition to being an engineering marvel, the Temple of Hatshepsut is important because it offers insight into her rule. Hatshepsut, the most famous female pharaoh in ancient Egyptian history was largely written out of
history, but the stories told on the colonnades in the temple shed a lot of light on the two decades of her reign.
The Colossi of Memnon (Arabic: el-Colossat or es-Salamat) are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which stand at the front of the ruined. The Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, originally represented his power and divinity, guarding the entrance to his mortuary temple. Last, we will visit the largest religious complex in the world, the temple of Karnak. Showcasing over 2,000 years of Egyptian history and architectural innovation.
